This unfinished polyptych was commissioned and depicts the history of a house and estate in Brasschaat, Belgium. The front of the work shows the early history of the eighteenth-century estate through a kaleidoscopic composition. The landscape and garden fragments are thereby inspired by palace gardens of the period. The inside depicts the later history of the estate in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
