Museum van Bommel van Dam presents the solo exhibition "Evert Thielen: The Shutters Open".

This museum-filling exhibition shows the motivations behind Evert Thielen's artistic language through various visual themes. Both the six polyptychs and a large selection of old and new works are connected and viewed through the lens of the total artwork. The exhibition includes the oeuvre of Evert Thielen at its peak and, by illuminating emotion-based themes in that oeuvre, puts the realization and twists in the career of an accomplished artist in the new light of his consummate development.

The concept of this exhibition as well as the selection of works were curated by Dagmar Thielen (PhD, KU Leuven-Coventry University).
