This catalgous was published by the Stichting Veelluik on the occasion of its organized exhibition "Around a polyptych by Evert Thielen". The Stichting Veelluik was founded on September 17, 1981 with the aim of organizing didactic exhibitions of paintings and other forms of visual art, also relating to the genesis of the art objects in question.
The exhibition was realized by Pim Brinkman and Karel Innemée, students of art history at the R.U. in Leiden as a final project for the minor in museology, and was supervised by Prof. Dr. P. H. Pott.
