Evert Thielen (b. 1954) is a Dutch painter known for his realistic portraits, monumental polyptychs and precise working methods. The artist has lived for 25 years in the center of historic Bruges, Belgium, where he draws inspiration from the city's rich art history.
Art works
Inspired by European art history, everyday beauty and nature, Thielen's work brings to life a synthesis of past and present through the lens of symbolic realism. In the process, the artist creates his own tempera, working exclusively on wood panels.
